Wait. Wait. Wait.

Wait. Wait. Wait. Who likes to wait? That’s about all I have been hearing lately on the news–all the news. It’s driving some people crazy!  So, I got up this morning and what did I hear on Today and ABC news? Now there is a paper shortage. The headline said, “Paper shortages are impacting schools, grocery stores, and more.” So, I’m thinking that I better order a print run for a few more of my children’s books before the paper shortage hits here too. Yesterday, my cousin told me that he is seeing increases as high as 30% on commercial decor prices this year. This morning I read an article in Bloomberg that said, “the world economy’s supply chain problem keeps getting worse.” What does all this mean? You and I, and everyone else right now need to be prepared to wait.

Why not wait upon the Lord? It doesn’t hurt to pray to God. It does not hurt anyone to thank God for blessings. It does not hurt to bless food.  It does not hurt to listen to God. It does not hurt to stop and listen to nature around us. It does not hurt to remember better times. Why not take a moment to be thankful and listen to God? It will bring you peace and happiness.

31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Proverbs 3:6 (KJV) “In all thy ways, acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy path.”

Devotionals/Homeschoolers: Sketch/color an illustration. Theme: waiting. Finish the sentence: While I am waiting, I will … List five things you are waiting for. Describe the story called The Sermon on the Mount.
