The lyrics of this song are based on a poem by Jane Taylor called “The Star” which appeared in 1806. “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” is a lullaby song and one of the most beloved nursery rhymes.

Up above the world so high,

Like a diamond in the sky.

Homeschoolers/Educators/Parents: Theme: Star. Sketch/color an illustration. Read the story called “The Wise Men” in Learning to Read: New Testament Stories. Put these words in alphabetical order: star, wise, men, sky, twinkle, Bethlehem. Describe what the wise men saw in the sky. Sing the song and interpret it. (Skillset: identify, comprehend, apply, creative, analyze)
