Strength

We all need strength-physical, mental, and emotional. When and why do we need it? We need it all of the time. We need more of it too. We need it –

  • as a growing baby that sleeps a lot
  • as a youth going to school
  • for all of those challenging tasks that require stamina
  • when we read or talk about the current crisis or challenges going on around us
  • when we think of all of the goals we want to accomplish
  • when we want to help others who are in need
  • when we want to finish that job that takes a long time
  • when we want to start something new
  • just to do something fun

Homeschoolers/Parents/Educators: Sketch/color an illustration. Theme: strength. Put these words in alphabetical order: best, challenge, dare, stop, ferocious, jump, safe, stamina, strength. Use each word in a sentence. Read the exciting story, “Three Billy Goats Gruff” in Learning to Read: Fairy Tale Adventures. Describe the strongest Billy goat. Rewrite the ending. List what you can do to become stronger. (Skillset: creativity, identification, main ideas, summary)
