Happy “National Read a Book Day”

What are you going to read today to celebrate “National Read a Book Day?”

National Read A Book Day is observed annually on September 6th. National Read a Book Day invites everyone, young or old, to grab a book to enjoy and spend the day reading.

Don’t keep it only to yourself. Share the experience! Read aloud with children or grandparents. Read to your pets (cat or dog) or to your stuffed animals and plants. Children, read to your parents!

Reading improves memory and concentration. Reading reduces stress. Older adults who spend time reading show a slower cognitive decline. Books are an inexpensive entertainment, educational tool and time machine too! And, don’t forget to read Learning to Read: Favorite Fairy Tales and Learning to Read: New Testament Stories! They were written Just For You!
