Parents-Educators-Homeschoolers: Sketch/color an illustration. Theme: flowers. Read the story called “Thumbelina” in Learning to Read: Favorite Fairy Tales. Say and put these words in alphabetical order: flower, blossom, petals, leaf, songs, sparrow, tweeted. List two uses for flowers. Summarize the story of Thumbelina. Write about an experience you or someone else had with flowers. Count how many petals are on a flower. (Skillset: identify, comprehend, apply, creative, oral, numbers, summary, nature)
