What? You forgot it? No way!  The Lunar New Year, also called the Spring Festival in China and Hong Kong, falls on the second new moon after the winter solstice. It usually occurs between mid-January and mid-February. This year, the Chinese New Year fell on Tuesday, Feb. 1.  It is called the year of the tiger! Some traditions include lighting firecrackers and decorating with red lanterns. People also exchange red envelopes filled with lucky cash. The color red is loved by the Chinese people because it represents happiness and good fortune. Now, you know!
