Today, the moon will pass directly between the sun and Earth’s orbits. This will create a total solar eclipse of Earth’s view of the sun. The solar eclipse has brought excitement to millions across North America with many traveling to get the best view.
The path of totality varies from state to state. The last time Detroit, Michigan saw a total solar eclipse was June 16, 1806. Here is a chart to show the beginning and end times. Click here or here to see the eclipse online safely.
