Celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 10, 2024. In China, you’ll hear it being called chunjie (春节), or the Spring Festival. It is called the Year of the Dragon. Some traditions include lighting firecrackers and decorating with red lanterns. People also exchange red envelopes filled with lucky cash. The color red is loved by the Chinese people because it represents happiness and good fortune. Firecrackers are used to welcome the new year and good luck.
