We commemorate January 27th as International Holocaust Remembrance Day by remembering the 6 million Jews, Slavs, disabled persons, and others who were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators during the Shoah. Let us never forget the truth of what happened across Europe because of an attack on freedom of speech and private property rights. The genocide of European Jews by Nazi Germany occurred between 1941 and 1945. The Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army in 1945.
So, Homeschoolers: sketch an illustration and describe what the Holocaust means to you.
