Remember the story of the creation in the Bible? Did you know that a cocker spaniel puppy is in the image of its parents? Those big, dark eyes; that sweet expression; those long, lush ears that practically demand to be touched. It’s no wonder the Cocker Spaniel spent many years as America’s most popular breed. It is the AKC’s smallest sporting spaniel, standing about 14 to 15 inches. Also, a baby chick is in the image of its mother hen and father rooster.
As human beings (homo sapiens) we have fingers, toes, a head, arms, hands, legs, and feet. We even look like our own father, mother and ancestors. Likewise, each of us, all humanity, is made in the image (likeness) of God. God made man and woman to look like him.
Genesis 1:27: Old Testament
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
